Most people are left broken
and useless when pushed
passed their max.
No longer able to perform
the purpose of their existence,
they drift as a ghost outside
the proverbial shell,
a hermit crab with a foreclosed home.
Oh but it was all worth it, for those
few hours of ecstasy, and that
month-long orgasm.
But poverty lasts longer than
the joy provided by these
luxurious items. Sometimes
arms just need to rest
from carrying shopping bags
and playing sale tag --
chasing after the best deals
all in the name of "it" --
and, please, rest the card-swiping wrist
before it gets carpal tunnel syndrome.
If people are this easily broken,
think how much more fragile
are our finances
and economies, being
non-corporal and
without substance.

HHGS Exclusive: Nicki Minaj Thanksgiving Concert
Last night Nicki Minaj held a Thanksgiving concert courtesy of Hot 97. The concert was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, New York. My husband and I were supposed to go and film all of the behind the scenes footage but due to no babysitter available on Thanksgiving and security being really strict about who was allowed to film or not, I stayed my ass home while my husband went out and did all the dirty work. ;-)

Father of Charlotte Teen Contradicts Step-Daughter's Statement to Media

The pastor and father of Delvonte Tisdale, the Charlotte teen whose mangled body was found on the lawns of suburban homes in Milton, Massachusetts, spoke to WCNC.com about Tisdale's death on Tuesday.
Pastor James Woodson of St. James Home of Fresh Start Church in Greensboro, where the Tisdale family lived prior to moving to Charlotte, told reporters they had no "conclusive evidence" that indicated the teen actually hid out on a flight bound for Boston, then fell to his death as the plane landed.
Phil Orlandella, director of communications at Logan International Airport, told the media that the area where Delvonte Tisdale's remains were found is "exactly the area where planes lower their landing gear" when approaching Logan International airport, and there was a flight from Charlotte that landed in Boston Logan last Monday night, shortly after Tisdale's remains were discovered.
When asked how his son got to Massachusetts, Anthony Tisdale replied, "I have no idea." He described his 16-year-old son as a hardworking young man who did not run the streets, played video games and loved the ROTC.
"My son was ecstatic with and loved Charlotte," said Anthony Tisdale, contradicting a statement Delvonte Tisdale's step-sister made to WCNC-TV when she said her brother didn’t want to be in the military and didn’t like living in North Carolina. She and her brother told reporters she believed her brother ran away from home and was headed to Baltimore.
Both the pastor and father said there was no argument the night the teen disappeared and that there was nothing out of the ordinary preceding Delvonte Tisdale's disappearance.
Anthony Tisdale, who works as a chef, said they had no family in the Boston area and that the last time he saw his son was on Sunday, November 14th. He described his family as "close knit" and added that Sunday was a "regular day" for the family.
"We had a pizza party and they played video games," said the elder Tisdale, who added that the last time he saw his son was around 10 p.m. Sunday when he told him goodnight.
When asked by reporters if he thought his son may have ran away, Anthony Tisdale replied, "I don't know."
The Tisdale's moved to Charlotte from Greensboro "for better opportunities as a family" said Anthony Tisdale. "It was a good start for everybody."
"You know the school system here, North Mecklenburg High, offered the ROTC program which he (Delvonte Tisdale) talked about since he's been here," said Anthony Tisdale, who lived in Baltimore, Maryland where Delvonte Tisdale was born, for about 13 years, but did not elaborate on when he left Baltimore or why.
A Neighbor of the Tisdale's, Carol Brinson said the family was always working together and had recently fixed up what once was a rundown property. She said they were always working on the lawn, raking leaves, trimming the bushes, and cutting the grass together.
While funeral arrangements for Delvonte are incomplete, Pastor Woodson asked that anyone wanting to help the family with burial expenses to send donations to Wesley Heights Mortuary, the funeral home handling the burial arrangements.
Prophet Terry Matthews, an employee of Wesley Heights Mortuary, told The Black Urban Times that the funeral home had not received Delvonte Tisdale's remains and did not know when they would.
Matthews, whose son attended the Air Force ROTC program with Delvonte Tisdale, described the teenager as "very respectful" and added that while taking the teen and his son home one night after a Renaissance Festival, he overheard Delvonte Tisdale talking about how much he loved the ROTC program.
"Delvonte was a very respectful boy. He and my son had been good friends since Delvonte arrived to Charlotte three months ago. He loved the ROTC and will be missed dearly by all that knew him," said Matthews.

As I said in the title, this time of year is bad for jumpoffs! It's holiday season and if any jumpoff is thinking she's going to be getting some shine, he/she better think otherwise. Jumpoffs will be getting their shine back on after the new year. ;-)
So, of course, Diddy and Cassie were seen on the scene yesterday having dinner at BOA Steakhouse. Photo of the two pictured above. The two tried to leave the premises solo but we all know they were together. These two have been denying their relationship since the beginning but C'mon Son!! We all know this was a dinner date/early Christmas present giving/I'm not going to be seen out with you again until after the new years type date!
Anyone with a half a brain will let you know that this time of year is dedicated to Kim Porter! Say what you want about Kim Porter but she's basically Puffy's wife. She's there through thick and thin, Diddy having babies with other chicks and even dealing with Diddy's sidestepping with Cassie. But at least Diddy has enough respect to say the holidays are for Kimmy P.! LOL!

Mrs. Shawn Carter aka Beyoncé recently sat down with Nightline's Cynthia McFadden for a tête-à -tête on everything from her hip hop mogul hubby, Jay-Z to pregnancy, her dancers and feeling lonely.
The singer, who is also promoting her 'I am...' world tour DVD, which marks her directorial debut, had this to say to McFadden on pregnancy:
"It was nothing then and there’s nothing now. It will be one day, definitely one day," said the Dangerously in Love singer.

Officials: Missing Charlotte Teen Found Dead Near Boston May Have Been a Stowaway

WCNC North Carolina has reported that the 16-year-old Air Force Jr. ROTC student missing from Charlotte and found dead November 15 in Milton, Massachusetts may have been a stow-away inside an aircraft wheel well when he fell to his death as the plane descended towards the airport.
Phil Orlandella, director of communications at Logan International Airport confirmed for NewsChannel 36 that local police are investigating the possibility that Delvonte Tisdale may have fell from an aircraft, which would explain the horrific injuries to his body and the fact that he was found with no shirt or shoes.
"We have been requested to look into that possibility," Orlandella said Tuesday. "It's something that theoretically can happen. It's a remote possibility." However, prosecutors have declined to co-sign the stowaway theory.
Orlandella added that officials are cross-checking records of arriving flights heading to Runway 4R, which crosses over Milton.
In a statement released by Norfolk District Attorney William R. Keating's office, prosecutors said that while the investigation is "active and ongoing" by State and Milton police on multiple fronts, "The office continues to decline to detail specific investigatory measures being taken."
Officers have conducted numerous interviews in relation to Tisdale's death, but have yet to announce a person of interest. Following up on theory one, that the teen was murdered while driving north with friends, on Tuesday, police impounded one of the two vehicles eyewitnesses alleged were in the area just before police discovered the body, reported Bostonchannel.com.
The car, a white 2006 Audi, bore an out-of-state registration sticker which was expired, and was reportedly being driven by a student at Curry College. Milton police discovered the car in a parking lot in neighboring Dorchester.
Tuesday's report prompted officials to explore the possibility that Tisdale, described by family friend
Rebecca Simensen, a spokeswoman for Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, told WCNC she was not aware of any security breach or an investigation into Tisdale's possible activities at the airport.
Multiple media outlets have reported that Tisdale's family plans to comment later today on the teens death.
According to Tisdale's step-sister, the Charlotte transplant had a contentious relationship with his father and ran away from home. She believes he may have been headed back to Baltimore where he lived prior to moving to Charlotte with his father and step-mother last summer.
The step-sister added that Tisdale did not want to be in the military and didn't like living in North Carolina. His brother, Craig Tisdale, 18, told the Boston Globe he believes his younger brother could have gotten into a car with two friends headed for Boston -- arranging to be dropped off in Baltimore.
"My best guess was that he was trying to come back to his family," Craig Tisdale said. "The guys he got in the car with were supposed to be friends. I think he was expecting to be driven back to Baltimore."
A police report from Charlotte-Mecklenberg police states Tisdale was last seen in Charlotte around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 14th. His father reported him missing Monday. Massachusetts police discovered his body in Milton around 9:30 p.m. Monday night -- 22 hours after he was last seen. Charlotte is approximately 14 hours and 43 minutes from Milton by car and two hours by flight.
Tisdale's broken and badly mangled body was found clad in blue jeans and gray boxer shorts, in the middle of Brierbrook Street, a secluded part of Milton bordering the Blue Hills Reservation, according to The Baltimore Sun. Residents living in the community where the teen's body was discovered told WBTV Charlotte that Tisdale's remains were scattered over several properties and not confined to one area.
According to stories published by the Boston Globe, Milton Deputy Police Chief Charles Paris said Tisdale suffered "broken bones and severe trauma, particularly to the head". Additional evidence discovered at the scene included bone fragments. If the resident's accounts are accurate, this would support the stowaway theory.
An initial autopsy was deemed inconclusive due to the state his body was in. Officials were only able to identify Tisdale's remains from a note found on his body, which appeared to be a school "hall pass" with the words "Delvonte Tisdale A Lunch" written on it, along with a signature and the date 10/19/2010.

According to divorce proceedings and of course Radar Online.com, Fantasia admits to being pregnant by Antwaun Cook but terminated the pregnancy around the time of her suicide attempt. Antwaun Cook is the no good bastard that tricked Fantasia into thinking he was separated from his wife. Come to find out, dude was still married and taking trips with his wife! Dudes will do anything to get the drawers nowadays it's pathetic!
The only thing that disappoints me with Fantasia is she should've left the man alone when he made it clear that the divorce was not final. Other than that, I truly believe dude did a great job at lying about his situation to hang out with a celebrity. Just my opinion and I could be wrong but it is what it is.
I've come to have a greater liking towards Fantasia and hope that she can learn from this experience and make wiser decisions in the future. Men are pure dogs and this case is a sure fire example of that!

Rapper DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested Thursday in Phoenix after he allegedly violated his probation by using drugs, the Toronto Sun reported.
Maricopa County adult probation officers took the 40-year-old father of eight into custody at his north Phoenix without incident and placed him in the Maricopa County jail where he was held without bond.
The rapper's arrest came two days after Simmons' 40th birthday. According to court documents released Friday, Simmons allegedly ingested the prescription narcotic, Oxycontin and cocaine, failure to attend mandated counseling and make said payments, driving on a suspended license and failure to submit to drug testing.
"It is very frustrating that the probation department would time it in such a way to violate Mr. Simmons right before the holiday and just a few weeks shy of the termination date of the probation," said Simmons' attorney Glen Allen in an email to the Associated Press.
"Mr. Simmons has been working very hard and will overcome this setback," added Allen who said he had been working with the "Cradle to the Grave" actor and probation officials and expected the arrest.
His latest arrest follows two previous arrests for violating the terms of his probation, which he was placed on last year after convictions for attempted aggravated assault for throwing a food tray at a jail guard, and theft for trying to using a fake name to avoid paying a $7,500 hospital bill, AccessAtlanta reported.
Zach Dal Pra, Chief deputy of the Maricopa County adult probation department said officials may request that Simmons probation be revoked and with several prior violations, it is likely the rapper will face prison time.
Simmons, of Yonkers, pleaded guilty in 2008 to attempted possession of cocaine and marijuana in Miami, posing as an undercover federal agent in 2004 and crashing his sport-utility vehicle through a security gate at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Simmons, whose stage name is a tribute to the musical instrument the Oberheim DMX drum machine, made his grand debut onto the Hip Hop scene during the late 1990s.
He has starred in movies such as Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Last Hour and Belly.
To date, his best-selling album is his 1999 album "...And Then There Was X." In 2002, Simmons penned the autobiographical book titled E.A.R.L.: The Autobiography of DMX, available through Harper Collins.
Simmons has been married to wife Tashera Simmons for 12 and together they have four children. The troubled rapper/actor has four other children from previous relationships. On July 22, 2010, Tashera Simmons announced her separation from her husband, just 2 weeks after he was released from jail.

Well I’m doing fine. I tell you I can truly say that I have been blessed.

That is a hard one to answer but it would be between Lord Make Me Over and A grandmothers prayer but from the feed back we have getting from our up and coming play For The Love Of Money it might be this one.

Book Review: "The Golden Hustla" by Wahida Clark

If I had to use one word to describe Wahida Clark’s book The Golden Hustla it would be inconsistent. The inconsistencies begin on the book’s back cover: there is mention of an undercover cop, but the person ends up being an FBI agent; the “ruthless” FBI agent mentioned on the back cover turns out to be a GBI agent (Georgia Bureau of Investigation); the ex-partner from the back cover goes by a different name in the book until near the end. The book’s main character, Nina Coles, is described as an ex-hustler who is supposed to be one of the best in the game, but more than once she is easily set-up, duped by friends and cops, and suffers from a severe case of naivety. That doesn’t add up to top hustler status.
Before I go any further, I probably should tell you what the book is about. After bullets kill one of her brothers, paralyzes another, and kills her best friend, Nina Coles flees New Jersey for Atlanta. There, she runs into her ex named -- according to the book’s back cover -- Akil, but who is known throughout the vast majority of the book by his street name Cream. Cream twists Nina’s arm and essentially blackmails her into taking a telephone sales position at a company called WMM -- “We Make Millionaires.”
The company’s name is the company’s motto, and soon Nina gets promoted to the company’s elite sales team. She’s making money by convincing elderly rich folk with a gambler’s mentality to “invest” in business products the company sends in hopes of cashing in on a gold coin lottery. Yup, that’s the company’s "scheme." What makes it worst is that Rinaldo, the company’s owner, doesn’t mind using violence -- even murder -- to make sure he keeps making money.
All the sales associates at WMM use phone aliases, and a few times even Clark doesn’t know which name to use for the protagonist: Nina, or her phone name Alexis. How long Alexis -- I mean Nina -- has worked at WMM is also inconsistent in the book; ranging from a few months to a few years.
Every conventional story element from the street literature genre is in this book: single mother whose mother is raising her babies, check; crazy ex-boyfriends, check; boyfriend who is really married, check; sexy cop who the female protagonist falls for, check; a spoken word poem in the text, check; a few club scenes, check; male child-molester, check; etc. Some of the sub-plots work for the book, but most just seem thrown in the book just for the hell of it. Or maybe to fill out the checklist.
The sex scenes, and there are a few of them, are done pretty well. Having the shady company be a tele-sales scheme, where employees bring in $100,000 a year, is sort of comical and is sure to delight any telemarketer working for minimal wage.
In closing, The Golden Hustla needed more polishing in order to shine.

Madame Got Rocks is a new company which I truly, truly love! Created and started by Annisa Sahadath this company thrives on making women look like a million bucks without actually having to spend a million bucks! The jewelry pieces are all unique and imported from various places like Japan, India, Europe....you name it she has a piece of jewelry from that part of the world.
What really strikes me most about the line is that you'll never find another person wearing the same piece of jewelry as yourself. Fugitive Manhunt for Jose Rodriguez Ends at Micro-Tel Motel in Connecticut

A dangerous fugitive is off the streets after his capture in Connecticut, myfoxny reported. Jose Rodriguez, 27, had been on the run since Wednesday afternoon after escaping the custody of an NYPD Task Force who arrested him in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
Nearby school officials at Fort Lee Elementary School No. 2, initiated a 25-minute lock down after hearing of Rodriguez' escape as a precaution.
The New York Times reported that the fugitive had been stopped by the NYPD Task Force because he was wanted for questioning in connection with a string of shootings in the Bronx. After handcuffing and shackling the suspect, officers placed him in the back of a police cruiser while they returned to his vehicle to perform a search.
The "Houdini" slipped into the front seat of the police car, freed himself of his shackles and cuffs using a key on the same ring as the ignition key and fled the scene. The police cruiser was found abandoned five miles later in Ridgefield. During the search of Rodriguez' personal vehicle, officers found a loaded handgun.
Early Thursday morning, Rodriguez was tracked to a Microtel Inn and Suites just off the Norwich-New London Turnpike in Uncasville near a Chilli's Restaurant where officers had to force their way into his motel room before taking him into custody around 3:30 a.m.
Rodriguez, of the Bronx, has been charged with being a fugitive from justice, based on a New York state warrant and was wanted on a parole violation stemming from a drug-sale conviction. His extensive criminal record boasts seven prior arrests, including possession of marijuana and robbery.
