GRAND BAY, Ala. -- Mobile County sheriff's deputies are seeking a suspect in a shooting that took place around 9 p.m. Saturday in Grand Bay. Ricky McCovery, 24, is the suspect police are searching for. They believe he shot Lloyd Stevens on Ben Hamilton Road. Stevens died as a result of the gun shot wound he sustained, hospital authorities said.
McCovery was last seen driving a maroon or purple colored Chevrolet Avalanche. His plate number is unknown at this time.
McCovery is approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes and has a tattoo on his right arm. Anyone with information about McCovery or his whereabouts is asked to contact the Mobile County Sheriff's Office at 251-574-8633
